A Mentorship Program for Girls of Color Ages 12-20

Program Overview:
This Program is empowers girls of color aged 12-20 through engaging STEAM activities, mentoring sessions, field trips, and project supplies. The program aims to provide a supportive environment where participants can explore their interests in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics while fostering personal growth and skill development.
Program Components:
Mentoring Sessions: Participants will have weekly 5 hour meetings with their mentors to receive guidance, support, and encouragement in pursuing their interests and goals.
STEAM Activities: Engaging in workshops and projects focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Field Trips: Educational outings to relevant institutions, museums, or companies to provide hands-on learning experiences and exposure to diverse STEAM fields.
Project Supplies: All necessary materials and resources will be provided to ensure participants fully engage in the program activities.
Price: This program costs $150 per participant. There are scholarships available. We encourage everyone to apply.
About STEAM Programs:
STEAM programs integrate arts (A) into the traditional STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), recognizing the value of creativity and design in innovation and problem-solving. By incorporating arts into STEM education, STEAM programs encourage well-rounded skill development, foster creativity, and promote interdisciplinary thinking among participants.
