OUR ‘WHY’

In recent times, we have witnessed the emergence of Black-led communities that, regrettably, fall short of fully serving the needs of our vibrant community. These communities either fail to create a lasting and positive impact or only cater to the privileged few within the Black community. Tragically, many Black womxn find themselves excluded from these spaces or lack the transformational experiences that empower and uplift them. That's why we set out to establish a community that not only honors and celebrates Black womxn but also fosters an environment where they can feel safe, let their guard down, and connect with like-minded individuals. We aim to ensure that within this community, they can learn, be empowered, experience joy, and access valuable resources that enhance their quality of life.

Our Equity Statement

At "For Black Girls", we are committed to promoting equity and empowerment for Black girls and womxn. We strive to create a society where every Black girl has equal access to opportunities, resources, and support, regardless of background or circumstances. Through our programs, advocacy, and community engagement, we aim to break down barriers, challenge systemic injustices, and foster a culture that celebrates Black girls' diverse strengths and talents. We are dedicated to building a world where every Black girl can thrive, achieve her full potential, and lead confidently and pridefully.
